9 months

A week at the beach gave Ian ample opportunities to practice skills and develop new ones. He has accomplished crawling quickly and pulling to a standing position. New skills he began to develop were cruising, balancing with one hand holding and balancing with no hands; sitting from a standing position and getting into a sitting position from laying on his stomach. Ian has also began banging his toys together, though he still does not clap his hands.

We were on the beach every morning by 7A and Ian would have his morning nap in his cabana. We were back in the cottage by 10A for lunch, midday nap, and playtime or an early afternoon drive. He would have a short late afternoon nap, followed by dinner before we headed out by 6P for more beach time. We would stay out just long enough to watch the sunset before heading back for a bath, story time, and his last bottle. Ian would be in bed by 9P. Now that we are back home, Ian is back on his 6-7P bedtime.
